Jubail Municipality Achievements 2025: Removing Distortions and Improving the Urban Landscape

The Jubail Governorate Municipality continued its development journey throughout 2025, achieving significant progress in municipal services and improving the urban landscape. This was part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing the quality of life for the governorate's residents and visitors. These intensive efforts come in response to the current phase of development in the Kingdom's infrastructure and services.
Record achievements in waste management and hygiene
Official statistics released by the municipality revealed figures reflecting the massive scale of the fieldwork, with field teams successfully removing more than 17,000 tons of household waste and over 82,000 tons of solid waste. The efforts didn't stop there; they also included the removal of more than 265,000 cubic meters of construction and demolition debris, which had been posing an environmental and visual burden in some neighborhoods and vacant lots.
War on visual distortion
In addressing visual pollution affecting the city's overall appearance, the Mayor of Jubail Governorate, Engineer Badi Al-Qahtani , explained that specialized teams removed 1,828 haphazardly placed and unsightly billboards , in addition to erasing and repainting over 17,000 square meters of graffiti on walls and public facilities. The maintenance and rehabilitation plan also included the repair of 4,984 waste containers to ensure their sustainability and operational efficiency.
Enhancing the environmental and cultural dimension
These efforts are of particular importance given Jubail's status as one of the most important industrial and coastal cities in the Kingdom and the region. Maintaining public cleanliness and a civilized appearance not only contributes to the psychological well-being of residents but also enhances the city's investment and tourism appeal. The mechanized sweeping operations, which have exceeded 32,000 operating hours, a testament to the commitment to stringent environmental standards aimed at reducing dust and pollutants.
Keeping pace with the Kingdom's Vision 2030
These achievements fall within the objectives of the Quality of Life Program , one of the key programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which focuses directly on improving the urban landscape in Saudi cities and reducing visual pollution. Through these initiatives, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing seeks to create a sustainable and healthy urban environment that enhances community well-being and supports sustainable development.
Engineer Al-Qahtani concluded his statement by emphasizing that these efforts are part of an ongoing operational plan, stressing the municipality’s commitment to applying the highest quality standards in the services provided, and calling on citizens and residents to cooperate in preserving national achievements and public facilities.
