The fourth Faqih Group conference concluded with the honoring of the research award winners

Fakih Healthcare Group successfully concluded its fourth annual medical conference, which began on January 31st, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Mr. Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel. The closing ceremony was attended by a number of dignitaries and prominent leaders in the Saudi healthcare sector, including the Secretary General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, Professor Dr. Aws bin Ibrahim Al-Shamsan, and featured wide participation from leading local and international experts and speakers.
A scientific platform to keep pace with the health transformation
For three consecutive days, the conference transformed into an interactive scientific platform featuring an intensive series of scientific sessions and specialized workshops. Discussions focused on reviewing the latest advancements in modern medicine, including scientific research and therapeutic innovations, as well as addressing strategic priority issues within the healthcare system. These events are of paramount importance at this time, coinciding with significant developments in the Kingdom's healthcare sector as part of the Health Sector Transformation Program, one of the programs under Vision 2030, which aims to restructure the healthcare sector into a comprehensive, efficient, and integrated system.
The conference provided participants with the opportunity to obtain Continuing Professional Development (CME) hours accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, reflecting the keenness to raise the scientific and practical efficiency of health practitioners, and to ensure their continued ability to keep pace with the rapid developments in various medical specialties.
A legacy spanning more than four decades
In his address at the ceremony, Dr. Mazen Suleiman Faqih, Chairman of the Faqih Healthcare Group, expressed his pride in the success of the fourth edition of the conference. He emphasized that this event is not merely an annual gathering, but rather an extension of a long-standing legacy that began with the group's founding in 1978. The Faqih Group is a pioneer in the Kingdom's private healthcare sector, having launched with a vision to provide a healthcare model that meets global standards, combining high-quality treatment services, excellence in medical education, and leadership in scientific research.
Dr. Mazen pointed out that the continuation of this conference reflects the group’s firm commitment to supporting the national healthcare system, through investment in human resources and research infrastructure, which contributes to enhancing health security and the sustainability of services provided to citizens and residents.
Supporting innovation and localizing talent
In a gesture of appreciation for scientific excellence, the conference honored the winners of the Dr. Sulaiman Faqih Award – may God have mercy on him – which carries a total value of one million Saudi riyals. The award aims to motivate researchers and innovators in the fields of scientific research, innovation, and health education, in cooperation with the Research, Development, and Innovation Development Authority. This generous support stems from a belief in the importance of scientific research as a fundamental pillar for developing innovative health solutions that address contemporary medical challenges.
The group also celebrated the graduation of a new cohort of Saudi Board-certified physicians and fellows from Dr. Sulaiman Faqih Hospital. This graduation is a significant boost to the Kingdom's medical job market, contributing to the infusion of highly qualified national talent, thus strengthening localization efforts in the healthcare sector and raising the quality of care provided to patients across the Kingdom.
