The latest edition, held from December 1st to 18th, attracted a record-breaking 1,220,063 fans . This edition cemented the tournament's status as a premier Arab football event, combining sporting excitement with fraternal unity, and culminated in the Moroccan national team's victory in a spectacular final at the Lusail Stadium, before a packed crowd of 84,517 spectators.
World-class infrastructure and a sustainable legacy
This tournament was not just a sporting competition, but a continuation of Qatar's great sporting legacy, which was further enhanced after hosting the 2022 World Cup. The matches were held in six of the world's finest stadiums, including Al Bayt Stadium , which hosted the opening match with its design inspired by the Arabian tent, Lusail Stadium , the venue for the final match, in addition to Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium, Education City Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, and Stadium 974. The country provided (16) training pitches dedicated to the (16) participating teams, which had (228) training sessions, reflecting the high readiness of Qatari facilities.
Comprehensive media coverage and international attention
The tournament witnessed significant media attention, reflecting its growing importance on both the regional and international stages. A total of 2,269 media representatives from 71 countries covered the event, confirming that the Arab Cup has become a global event and is no longer merely a regional one. The matches were broadcast on 24 channels, providing 202.5 hours of live coverage and analysis, with the participation of 12 major media networks that brought live coverage to fans across the Arab world and beyond.
Comprehensive experience and integrated services
The organizing committee was keen to provide a comprehensive and accessible experience for all spectators, especially fans with disabilities. Auditory descriptions and sensory assistance rooms were made available in the stadiums to ensure everyone could enjoy the match atmosphere. On the operational front, volunteers played a pivotal role in the tournament's success. A total of 3,500 volunteers from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and the UAE participated, with 30% being new volunteers and 70% possessing prior experience from major tournaments, contributing to the smooth organization of the event.
A festive atmosphere and a world-class sporting destination
Off the pitch, fans enjoyed a carnival atmosphere in the fan zones, which featured 77 small and medium-sized enterprises and 955 artists presenting folkloric performances and cultural shows reflecting authentic Arab heritage, along with a variety of traditional cuisine. This success coincided with Doha hosting the FIFA Confederations Cup and the FIFA U-17 World Cup final, reaffirming Qatar's status as a global sporting capital and FIFA's preferred destination for major football events.
