Priority Europe Summit 2026 in Rome: Investment Agenda and Strategies

The Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute has announced details of the first batch of keynote speakers and the strategic agenda for the FII Priority Europe 2026 Summit. This prominent global event is scheduled to take place in Rome, Italy, from June 17-19, 2026, under the theme “A Europe with a New Vision: Capital, Sovereignty, and Strategic Independence.”.

This summit is part of the Priority Global Conference series organized by the FII Foundation, a global non-profit organization supported by the Saudi Public Investment Fund. The foundation has gained widespread recognition through its flagship annual conference in Riyadh, known as “Davos in the Desert,” which has become a leading global platform bringing together world leaders and investors to discuss future economic trends.

The choice of Europe, and specifically Rome, to host this event comes at a crucial time, as the continent faces complex economic and geopolitical challenges. From the energy transition and the urgent need to bolster digital security, to global industrial competition and the pursuit of “strategic independence,” Europe stands at a crossroads demanding new visions and the effective mobilization of capital. The summit aims to provide a vital platform that brings together international investors, policymakers, innovators, and business leaders to address these challenges and explore the opportunities they hold.

In this context, Richard Attias, CEO of the Future Investment Initiative Foundation, stated: “Europe is entering a critical phase, where competitiveness, resilience, and strategic independence increasingly depend on the effective mobilization of capital.” He added that the summit was designed not only to address Europe’s challenges but also to explore the enormous opportunities in vital sectors such as energy, artificial intelligence, manufacturing, finance, and sustainable growth.

The summit's agenda will focus on key themes including the new geo-economic order, the impact of tariffs on global trade, the future of sovereign artificial intelligence, and how to strengthen strategic industries in Europe. The summit will bring together a distinguished group of global leaders, including prominent figures from Saudi Arabia such as Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Ambassador to the United States; His Excellency Mr. Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Governor of the Public Investment Fund; His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Al-Khatib, Minister of Tourism; and His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance. Also participating will be prominent European leaders such as Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania, and Matteo Renzi, former Prime Minister of Italy, along with a large number of CEOs from major global companies.

The summit is expected to have a significant impact both regionally and internationally. At the European level, it will contribute to developing strategies for attracting foreign direct investment to vital sectors. Internationally, it will strengthen economic ties between Europe and the Middle East, particularly with Saudi Arabia, which is leading a massive economic transformation through Vision 2030, opening new horizons for partnerships and mutual investments.
