Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, the Saudi capital, Riyadh, is preparing to host a prominent global event in the air transport sector. The General Authority of Civil Aviation is organizing the fourth edition of the "Future of Aviation 2026" international conference. This strategic event is scheduled to take place from April 20 to 22, 2026, reaffirming the Kingdom's pivotal role in the global aviation industry.

This conference is being held at a time when the aviation sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is undergoing radical transformations and rapid growth, driven by the unwavering support of the wise leadership. On this occasion, His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistics and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them – for their generous patronage and continuous support of the transport and logistics sector.

Engineer Saleh Al-Jasser affirmed that the generous royal patronage of the fourth edition of the conference embodies the leadership's commitment to achieving the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to transform the Kingdom into a global logistics hub connecting the three continents (Asia, Africa, and Europe). He noted that the conference represents a unique international platform for exchanging innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and sustainability in the aviation sector, thus contributing to shaping the future of air transport globally.

For his part, His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailij, expressed his appreciation for this generous patronage, considering it the greatest impetus for the success of this global event. He explained that the "Future of Aviation Conference" has become a highly anticipated event for decision-makers worldwide, especially after its accreditation by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as a leading global platform. This reflects international confidence in the Kingdom's leading role in shaping the future of the sector and addressing its challenges.

Promising investment opportunities and an ambitious vision

The 2026 edition will focus heavily on the economic and investment aspects, with Al-Duailij explaining that the conference aims to empower the private sector and attract massive investments exceeding $100 billion in the aviation sector. This initiative seeks to create quality job opportunities and boost GDP, aligning with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to make Saudi Arabia a global destination for tourism and business and a leading aviation hub in the Middle East.

The conference, which is expected to draw more than 120 countries and more than 11,000 aviation industry experts, will discuss vital issues including the development of environmental sustainability, enabling advanced air transport, and improving the passenger experience through the adoption of the latest digital technologies.

The upcoming conference builds on the success of previous editions, with the third edition witnessing significant international momentum and broad participation, culminating in the signing of 102 agreements, memoranda of understanding, and deals, in addition to the launch of important policies and strategies for the sector.
