The goal is to support 1945 children through the Qura program in the fourth quarter of 2025

The Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) has released promising new statistics regarding its "Qurrah" program, which supports childcare for working women. The Fund announced that the number of beneficiaries of this vital program reached approximately 1,945 children across various regions of Saudi Arabia during the fourth quarter of 2025. These figures underscore the success of the Fund's strategic plans to empower Saudi women in the labor market and overcome the obstacles they may face.
Details of the geographical distribution of beneficiaries
Detailed data revealed varying rates of benefit across the Kingdom's regions, reflecting economic activity and job concentration in major cities. Three key regions—Riyadh, the Eastern Province, and Makkah—accounted for the largest share, representing approximately 79.4% of all supported children. The Riyadh region led the way with 831 children, representing 42.7% of the total, highlighting the significant job opportunities available to women in the capital.
In a notable indicator of economic and industrial growth, the Eastern Province ranked second with a total of 426 children, representing approximately 21.9%. This figure reflects the expanding participation of women in various sectors within the Eastern Province, considered the Kingdom's industrial and energy hub. The Makkah region came in third with 288 children, followed by Madinah with 106, and Asir with 81. The remaining children were distributed in varying proportions across the Qassim, Hail, Northern Borders, Najran, Tabuk, Jazan, Al-Baha, and Al-Jawf regions.
The Qurrah program and the Kingdom's Vision 2030
These figures cannot be viewed in isolation from the broader context of Saudi Vision 2030, which has established women's empowerment and increased participation in the labor market as a key pillar. The Qurrah program is one of the high-quality national initiatives launched by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) to achieve this goal. It aims directly to improve the working environment for Saudi women in the private sector and ensure their job stability by alleviating the financial burdens associated with childcare.
The economic and social impact of support
This support is a cornerstone in strengthening the family and economic stability of Saudi families. By covering part of the childcare costs at approved centers, the fund encourages mothers to enter and remain in the workforce without worrying about childcare. This stability positively impacts the productivity of female employees, reduces employee turnover rates in private sector establishments, enhances the overall efficiency of the labor market, and supports sustainable national development.
