Two Umrah companies suspended for failing to provide accommodation for Egyptian pilgrims

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that it has taken decisive measures, which included suspending two Umrah companies from operating, due to the detection of serious violations related to the failure to provide accommodation services to a number of pilgrims coming from the Arab Republic of Egypt, in accordance with the previously approved contractual programs.
Details of the violation and immediate intervention
The Ministry explained in its statement that it had conducted an on-site inspection of a group of Egyptian pilgrims arriving in the Holy Land, only to discover that the accommodation provided by the contracting companies was not available, despite these services being documented in the official contracts. This constitutes a clear violation of the regulations and instructions governing services for pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque, which prioritize the comfort of the guests of God.
In response to this situation, the Ministry immediately assumed responsibility for securing suitable accommodation for all affected pilgrims, stressing that the measures taken were urgent and in accordance with the regulatory frameworks to ensure the preservation of their rights and to spare them any hardship that may result from this negligence.
International coordination and systematic sanctions
In a related context, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirmed that it is coordinating and cooperating directly with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism to take the necessary legal measures against the foreign agents who contracted with the two suspended companies. This cooperation comes within the framework of joint efforts between the two countries to regulate the Umrah market and prevent manipulation of visit programs, reflecting the depth of relations and ongoing coordination to serve the pilgrims.
Vision context and service quality
This firm decision comes as an extension of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030 , which aims to host millions of Umrah pilgrims annually while providing the highest levels of service. The Ministry continuously monitors the performance of Umrah companies and institutions to ensure their strict adherence to their contracts, as the quality of services provided to pilgrims is a red line that cannot be compromised.
The ministry stressed that it will not hesitate to apply the legal penalties against any company that is found to be negligent or to have failed to meet its obligations towards pilgrims, calling on all companies and institutions operating in the sector to fully comply with the approved regulations and instructions, and to provide services according to the highest standards of quality and reliability.
