Hatem Khimi breaks medical ban to support Al Wahda against Al Bukairiyah

In a scene embodying the highest ideals of loyalty and belonging to the club, Al-Wahda Club President, Captain Hatem Khimi, broke the strict medical isolation recently imposed on him by doctors to appear in the stands at his team's match against Al-Bukairiyah Club. This unexpected appearance came after a health setback that confined him to hospital, where the medical team advised him to completely avoid any emotional stress or nervous tension that could affect his health. However, the call of the "Knights of Mecca" proved stronger than the medical warnings.

Field victory and a jump in the rankings

The 23rd round of the Yelo First Division League saw the presence of Khaymi in the stands, providing a tremendous morale boost to the players, which was clearly reflected in their performance on the pitch. This support culminated in a resounding and well-deserved 3-0 victory for Al-Wahda against Al-Bukairiyah. This valuable win raised the team's points tally to 29, propelling them to ninth place in the standings and reviving their hopes of competing for and climbing towards the top spots.

Fiery statements and a leadership spirit

In his first comments after the match, Hatem Khimi expressed his double joy: first, for the resounding victory on the field, and second, for the administrative triumph represented by winning the protest against Al-Ula and having the match points awarded to Al-Wahda. In a moving press statement, Khimi said, "I entrusted everything to God Almighty, and my love for Al-Wahda is my first love. I had to personally ensure the integrity of the job and join my teammates in motivating the team to overcome this difficult period.".

Khaimi added, emphasizing the continuity of work and ambition: “Our ambition will not stop at this position, but we are looking for advanced positions through victories in the upcoming matches. As long as I am in the chair of the club’s presidency, I will perform my duties to the fullest extent, because Al Wahda Club deserves to compete for the Roshan Senior League Championship, and this is its natural place.”.

Al-Wahda: A historical legacy and a broad fan base

This sacrifice by the club president comes in light of the historical significance of Al-Wahda Club, one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in Saudi Arabia. The club represents a major sporting landmark for Mecca and boasts a broad fan base that extends beyond the Western Region to encompass various parts of the Kingdom. Al-Wahda has long been known as a "source of stars," having produced numerous prominent figures for Saudi football and other sports, many of whom have represented the national teams in various competitions.

The Al-Wahda administration’s relentless pursuit of a return to the Roshan Professional League reflects the desire to restore the natural position of this great entity among the top Saudi clubs, which explains the disregard for health conditions by the head of the administrative pyramid to ensure the smooth running of work and to achieve the aspirations of the fans who are thirsty for championships and glory.
