Human Capability Initiative Conference 2026: Details of the third edition in Riyadh

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Human Capability Development Program Committee - may God protect him - the capital, Riyadh, is preparing to host the third edition of the Human Capability Initiative (HCI) conference , during the period from 3 to 4 May 2026 AD (corresponding to 16 - 17 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1447 AH) at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center.

An ambitious vision for the future of skills

This global conference is being held as an integral part of the objectives of the Human Capital Development Program , one of the executive programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which seeks to empower Saudi citizens and prepare them to compete globally. The third edition is themed "The Human Code," and discussions will focus on three strategic pillars: communication, reflection, and innovation. These pillars aim to address the challenges posed by the rapid changes in the global labor market, particularly with the advent of artificial intelligence and automation technologies, which necessitates a redefinition of essential human skills to ensure future readiness.

Strategic partnership with the United Kingdom

In a move reflecting the depth of the Kingdom's international relations, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as the guest of honor for this edition. This selection is a culmination of the close strategic partnership between the two countries and an implementation of the outcomes of the Saudi-British Strategic Partnership Council. This cooperation will contribute to the exchange of extensive expertise in the fields of education and vocational training, as Britain possesses a world-class academic heritage that can be leveraged to develop the Kingdom's education and training system.

In this context, His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Economic and Social Committee of the Saudi-British Strategic Partnership Council, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, affirmed that this hosting is an extension of previous successes, pointing to the “Future Skills” initiative that was launched previously to enhance cooperation in economic development and education.

A global platform for impactmaking

The conference is expected to attract over 15,000 visitors, including experts and specialists, as well as more than 250 speakers, including thought leaders, policymakers, and CEOs from around the world. The conference aims to be a pivotal platform for launching impactful initiatives and forging partnerships that contribute to human capital development.

For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Program, Professor Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, explained that the generous patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince confirms that “human beings” are at the forefront of the leadership’s priorities, as they are the main driver of sustainable development and building a solid knowledge economy.

A journey of continuous successes

It is worth noting that previous editions of the conference achieved record numbers, attracting over 23,000 visitors and witnessing the signing and announcement of more than 156 agreements and significant initiatives. This third edition continues this legacy, further solidifying the Kingdom's position as a global hub for dialogue on the future of human capabilities, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of national talent and opening new horizons for innovation and creativity.
