Hundreds of scouts participate in crowd management around the Prophet's Mosque
The tasks of the camp participants are distributed across a number of locations within Medina, including the courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque, the central health centers, Quba Mosque, and Miqat Mosque, where they provide various humanitarian and organizational services, most notably pushing wheelchairs, organizing worshippers and managing crowds, organizing visitors to health centers, supervising entry and exit at gates and stairs, guiding lost people, taking care of children, contributing to the movement of visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque, and assisting the elderly.
Youthful giving
These efforts are an extension of the historical role of scouting in the Kingdom in promoting a culture of volunteerism and community service. The camp serves as a practical platform for instilling values of giving and national belonging in young people, empowering them to actively participate in serving pilgrims through qualified and trained personnel working as a unified team.
Several scouting sectors from various entities are participating in the camp's activities, including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sports, Taibah University, the Islamic University of Madinah, and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation. This model reflects the integrated efforts of government agencies, educational institutions, and youth organizations in serving visitors and pilgrims.
The camp aims to serve visitors and worshippers, contribute to the provision of services to visitors of the Prophet's Mosque, encourage youth volunteerism, and showcase the positive image of the Kingdom's citizens in the field of humanitarian service, thus reinforcing the Kingdom's position in caring for the guests of the Two Holy Mosques and providing them with the best possible services.
