The honor of serving the guests of God in the holy places

affirmed imams and muezzins from the holy sites that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's continuous efforts to serve the pilgrims reflect the utmost care that the wise leadership bestows upon the Two Holy Mosques and the holy sites. They praised the comprehensive facilities provided by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, which directly contributed to creating a spiritually uplifting and conducive atmosphere for pilgrims from around the world to perform the fifth pillar of Islam with ease and tranquility.

The historical context of the Kingdom's care for the holy sites

Historically, since its unification by the founding King Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God have mercy on him – the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has given great attention to developing the holy sites and expanding the Two Holy Mosques. The mosques at these sites, such as the Namira Mosque in Arafat and the Al-Khaif Mosque in Mina, are prominent historical and Islamic landmarks that witness the annual arrival of millions of Muslims. This established approach has continued into the prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, during which the Hajj system is undergoing unprecedented development, relying on the latest technologies and qualified personnel to ensure the comfort and safety of pilgrims.

Spiritual experiences and faith-based stances

Saeed Al-Zuhair, the muezzin of Namira Mosque in Arafat, expressed his deep gratitude to the Kingdom's government for its blessed efforts, emphasizing that serving the pilgrims in these sacred places is among the greatest blessings God bestows upon His servants. Al-Zuhair explained that his service in the mosques of the holy sites began in 1440 AH and continued until 1445 AH at Namira Mosque, then he moved to Al-Khaif Mosque in 1446 AH, before returning to Namira Mosque. He noted that these years have brought him many moving and spiritually enriching experiences with the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God who come from all corners of the world.

For his part, Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, the muezzin of Al-Khaif Mosque in Mina, said, “Thanks be to God first, and then to the wise leadership for their attention and care for pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors.” He praised the prominent role played by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, under the leadership of Minister Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh, in providing various necessities and facilities that enhance the spiritual atmosphere. Al-Harbi explained that this is the first time he has been assigned this task within the holy sites, considering it a great honor and a tremendous responsibility. He noted that he had previously served as a muezzin at the land pilgrims’ mosque and witnessed firsthand the extent of the services provided.

Pride in the assignment and continuous follow-up

In the same vein, Dr. Mohammed bin Mashafi expressed his pride in being appointed by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to serve as Imam of the Namira Mosque. He affirmed that this appointment is a great honor and a clear indication of the Ministry's concern for the houses of God in the holy sites, and its commitment to selecting qualified individuals to serve the pilgrims during these blessed days. He added that the services, organization, and continuous monitoring provided to the pilgrims reflect the immense care the Kingdom bestows upon the guests of God, noting that the scenes of contentment and happiness he witnesses among the pilgrims are a source of great pride.

The local, regional, and international impact of a successful Hajj season

The efforts exerted by the imams and muezzins of the holy sites and all sectors of the state have an impact not only locally, but also across the Arab and Islamic worlds and the globe as a whole. Regionally and internationally, the meticulous organization of the Hajj season reflects the Kingdom's exceptional ability to manage millions of pilgrims peacefully and securely, thus reinforcing its leading position as the beating heart of the Islamic world. Furthermore, providing a spiritually enriching atmosphere leaves a profound impact on the pilgrims, who return to their countries carrying messages of peace, tolerance, and Islamic unity. Finally, the blessings of security, safety, and stability that the Kingdom enjoys are the cornerstone of the success of the Hajj seasons year after year.
