Al-Khulood seeks to repeat the remarkable achievement that was accomplished with “Mumbai City”, when the English coach Buckingham succeeded in leading the Indian team to achieve the league shield title in the 2022–2023 season with record numbers, in addition to recording the first victory for an Indian club in the history of the AFC Champions League, which culminated in him winning the Coach of the Year award in India in 2023.
Al-Khulood management is looking to replicate this successful experience on the Saudi scene, by overcoming the obstacle of Al-Ittihad and moving forward towards competing for the title, benefiting from the technical expertise that previously contributed to writing a historic chapter with the Indian team.
