
Integrated services for 3200 worshippers in the Prophet's Mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan
The service of organizing Itikaf (seclusion in the mosque) represents one aspect of the efforts made by the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque to enhance the worship experience ofGuests of the Most MercifulThe number of those observing Itikaf reached (2400) males (on the eastern roof of the Prophet’s Mosque) and (800) females (in designated areas in the eastern expansion), who completed the pre-registration electronic stage through the official platform of the Authority to ensure the capacity and optimal organization of the service.
Services for those in seclusion
The services provided to those observing i'tikaf included preparing four main halls containing 48 sections, providing each person with a personal locker for their belongings and personal items, in addition to guidance, field organization, and translation services for visitors of various nationalities. Breakfast and suhoor meals were also provided, along with beverages available around the clock during iftar time. Healthcare and first aid services were offered, and continuous cleaning and maintenance services were provided to ensure a clean and comfortable environment. Furthermore, the basic needs of those observing i'tikaf were met, enabling them to perform their prayers and acts of worship in an atmosphere of tranquility and devotion.
It is worth noting that more than 21 million worshippers performed the five daily prayers and the night prayers (Qiyam) at the Prophet's Mosque up to the 20th of Ramadan, in addition to more than 579,000 worshippers in the Rawdah Ash-Sharifah (the area between the Prophet's grave and his pulpit), and approximately 1.7 million visitors who had the honor of greeting the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his two companions (may God be pleased with them).
