The Minister of Interior inspects preparations for transporting pilgrims to Arafat

Within the framework of these historic and ongoing efforts, and to affirm its complete readiness for the current Hajj season, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, reviewed the mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of security and traffic plans, as well as the preparations for the movement of pilgrims to Arafat.

His Highness personally inspected the operations at the Hajj Security Command and Control Center at the Public Security headquarters in Mina. During his tour, he received a detailed briefing on the field monitoring phases of the pilgrim movement plans and the mechanisms for real-time coordination between the various security and service sectors. This coordination ensures the smooth flow of crowds along the routes and paths leading to the holy sites, reflecting the high level of institutional integration in managing this major global Islamic event.

Employing technology and artificial intelligence in Hajj

In a move highlighting the Kingdom's technological advancements within the framework of Vision 2030, His Highness was briefed on the mechanisms for monitoring plan implementation, the technological system for plans and operations, and the interactive map. He also received an explanation of the business intelligence systems for inquiries and operations, in addition to the comprehensive systems for handling cases and violations, managing reports and escalations, and indicators for tracking the arrival of pilgrims.

His Highness also inspected the business intelligence system for managing Hajj risks, the indicators room and the television monitoring hall, reviewing a package of advanced digital systems and artificial intelligence applications developed to enhance response speed and manage human crowds with high accuracy in Makkah and the holy sites, in addition to the escalation platform for reports supported by business intelligence systems.

He affirmed that the Kingdom's pioneering excellence in crowd management stems from the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister – may God protect them – to dedicate all material, human, and technological resources to ensure that pilgrims perform their rituals in an atmosphere of security and tranquility.

His Highness was accompanied during the tour by Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al-Falih, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Battal, Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations Mr. Mohammed bin Muhanna Al-Muhanna, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Engineer Thamer bin Mohammed Al-Harbi, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Affairs Mr. Abdullah bin Fahd bin Faris.
