As part of the intensive preparations for the Hajj season, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, inspected the operations of the pilgrim reception system at the Hajj and Umrah Terminal Complex at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. This visit is part of His Highness's ongoing field tours to ensure the precise implementation of Hajj season plans and to guarantee the provision of the best possible services to pilgrims from the moment they arrive.
Historical context and digital transformation in serving pilgrims
Historically, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has undertaken the honor of serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors since its unification. With rapid development, the Hajj system has witnessed significant leaps forward, particularly with the launch of Vision 2030 and the Guests of God Service Program. This progress was evident in the Minister of Interior's review of the mechanisms for completing passport procedures through modern digital platforms. These advanced technologies have dramatically reduced processing times to record levels, reflecting the comprehensive digital transformation adopted by the Kingdom to facilitate the pilgrim's journey.
Improving the Hajj experience and government integration
During the tour, His Highness reviewed the operational readiness of all security, regulatory, and health agencies operating at the airport. He also monitored the level of integration and coordination among the various sectors involved in the reception plans. This high level of coordination aims to expedite procedures and enhance the overall pilgrim experience, from baggage claim to a smooth transfer to accommodation, in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership to provide the highest quality services to the guests of God.
The importance of the event and its regional and international impact
