The Minister of Interior lays the foundation stone for the Unified Operations Center 911 in Al-Jawf
In a move reflecting the wise leadership's commitment to developing the security system and enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens and residents, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, laid the foundation stone today for the Unified Security Operations Center (911) project in Al-Jawf region. The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jawf region, and His Royal Highness Prince Mutaib bin Mishaal bin Badr bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the region.
A qualitative leap in emergency management
Following the laying of the foundation stone, His Royal Highness the Minister of Interior received a detailed briefing on the project, which represents a cornerstone of the Ministry of Interior's strategic plan aimed at unifying emergency numbers across the Kingdom. The project aims to integrate the operations rooms of various security and service sectors under one umbrella, with a single number (911), thus facilitating access to assistance for beneficiaries and ensuring an immediate and effective response to emergencies, replacing the previous system of multiple numbers.
Enhancing quality of life and Vision 2030
The Unified Security Operations Centers (911) are one of the most important initiatives of the Ministry of Interior, implemented in cooperation with the “Quality of Life” program, one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. These centers seek to achieve the highest standards of security and safety by employing the latest global technologies in managing reports, and providing an integrated work environment based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and smart systems for determining locations and directing field teams with high accuracy, which enhances the speed of response and reduces the time to address incidents.
Advanced security and technical integration
During the visit, His Royal Highness the Minister of Interior viewed a presentation showcasing the new center's components, the operational tasks of its various departments, and its workflow, which relies on direct coordination and real-time information exchange among all relevant entities. This center builds upon the success of the 911 centers in Riyadh, Makkah, and the Eastern Province, which have demonstrated their efficiency in crisis management and the provision of security and humanitarian services in multiple languages to serve all segments of society.
This project reflects the great interest that the Ministry of Interior attaches to covering all regions of the Kingdom with these advanced centers, which contributes to enhancing comprehensive security and raising the level of reassurance among the residents of the Al-Jawf region and its visitors, in line with the comprehensive development renaissance that the Kingdom is witnessing on various levels.
