The Directorate emphasized the importance of staying away from open areas during thunderstorms, avoiding standing under trees or metal roofs, seeking shelter inside buildings or vehicles, exercising caution when traveling or engaging in outdoor activities, and heeding all warnings and instructions.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense urged the public to follow safety guidelines and instructions published through official media outlets and social media platforms, and to contact 911 in the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, and 998 in the rest of the Kingdom for assistance in emergencies.
