Jeddah to host the first Family Community Forum 2026 to promote family stability

The city of Jeddah is preparing to host a prominent social and developmental event: the "First Family Community Forum 2026," organized by the Reconciliation and Family Development Association, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region. The event is scheduled to commence on the evening of Friday, February 20, 2026, at the "Laylati" Hall, with a large attendance of experts and specialists.
The importance of the forum in light of the Kingdom's Vision 2030
This forum is being held at a time when the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing a comprehensive development drive focused on quality of life and building a vibrant society, with the family as its fundamental unit. The forum aligns with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places great emphasis on strengthening family stability and empowering families to fulfill their educational and social roles. The event aims to create an integrated environment among various sectors to ensure the sustainability of family programs and raise community awareness of the contemporary challenges facing the family unit.
High-quality events and dialogue sessions
The forum will feature a significant intellectual engagement with the participation of over 20 speakers and experts in the fields of education and sociology, and is expected to draw over 1,000 attendees. The scientific program includes two main sessions:
- The first session, titled "The Reality of Saudi Families: Past and Present," will be moderated by Dr. Khalid Al-Otaibi and will feature a distinguished panel of experts including Dr. Khalid Al-Hulaibi, Dr. Bandar Saleh Al-Maliki, and consultant Azza Al-Ghamdi. The session will discuss social transformations and their impact on family values.
- The second session, entitled "Conscious Parenting: Let's make our homes a paradise and raise them with us," is moderated by Dr. Alaa Nassif, with the participation of Laila Tayba, Sariya Fasq, and Iman Rafah, to talk about modern parenting methods and strengthening family bonds.
Sustainable initiatives and strategic partnerships
The forum is not limited to the theoretical aspect only, but seeks to make a tangible impact by launching a package of qualitative initiatives, most notably:
- Launching the digital platform for the family community to serve as a knowledge and interactive resource.
- Launching the "Knowledgeable Family Award" to encourage excellence in the family field.
- Announcing an endowment fund and the "100 Family Endowments" initiative to ensure the financial sustainability of family programs.
- Launching the "Letters Between Two Generations" to promote communication between parents and children.
The event will also witness the signing of development agreements and partnerships between more than 30 non-profit sector entities and 15 governmental and private entities, which will enhance institutional integration to support the stability of the Saudi family and build more sustainable and effective joint business models.
