Results of the Knight of Education Cup at the Jubail Equestrian Field, 1447 AH

The Jubail Equestrian Field witnessed a prominent sporting and educational event yesterday (Friday), as the Governor of Jubail, Mr. Mansour bin Zaid Al-Dawood, Chairman of the Field's Board of Directors, crowned the winners of the "Knight of Education Cup" race in the Eastern Province for the 1447 AH season. This ceremony was attended by the Assistant Director General of Education in the Eastern Province for Educational Affairs, Ms. Fatima bint Khalaf Al-Balawi, along with a number of officials, educators, and enthusiasts of traditional equestrian sports.
This race reflects the leadership's and relevant authorities' commitment to promoting equestrian sports among young people, and the event featured exciting and competitive races. In the "Knight of Education Cup" race, dedicated to primary school students (pony category), the horse "Bin Akroush" stole the show and secured first place. Owned and trained by Turki Al Mansouri, the horse was ridden by the promising young jockey Saif Abu Habl, who demonstrated exceptional skill in control and handling.
In the other race, designated for middle and high school students, thoroughbred horses (stallions and mares over 4 years old, open category) competed for the title. The fierce competition resulted in a well-deserved victory for the horse "Janzour," owned and trained by Mutaib Al-Juhaim, and skillfully ridden by student jockey Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, thus confirming the excellence of school students in equestrian sports.
Strengthening heritage and linking it to education
This event is more than just a sporting competition; it carries profound significance, connecting younger generations to their cultural and civilizational heritage. Equestrianism is an integral part of Arab and Saudi identity, and has long been a symbol of courage and valor. The organization of the "Knight of Education Cup" reflects the strategic direction of the Ministry of Education and its regional departments to activate extracurricular activities that refine students' character and enhance their physical and mental well-being, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places great emphasis on quality of life and athletic excellence.
Strategic partnership and sustainable development
This race highlights the vital role of the Jubail Equestrian Field as a nurturing ground for young talent in the Eastern Province. The support provided by the field's board of directors, chaired by the Governor of Jubail, and the fruitful cooperation with the Education Department, contribute to creating a fair and competitive environment that encourages students to participate in and pursue equestrian sports professionally. These events serve as an important platform for discovering early talent in the world of equestrianism, thus supplying national teams and local clubs with fresh talent capable of competing in regional and international events in the future.
At the conclusion of the sports carnival, the Governor of Jubail, in the presence of the Acting Director General of Education in the Eastern Province, honored all the participating student riders, in addition to the governmental and sponsoring entities that contributed to the success of this event, stressing the continued support for this ancient sport.
