The President of Kazakhstan affirms to the Crown Prince his country's solidarity with the Kingdom
His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received a telephone call from His Excellency President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, during which they reviewed the close bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and discussed the latest developments in the region.
During the call, the Kazakh President expressed his country’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the heinous Iranian attacks against the Kingdom, stressing Kazakhstan’s full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all the measures and actions it takes to defend its security, protect its territory, resources and national gains, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of international security and stability.
The depth of Saudi-Kazakh relations
This contact comes within the framework of the historical and strong relations between Riyadh and Astana, which have witnessed remarkable development in various political and economic fields. Saudi Arabia was among the first countries to recognize Kazakhstan's independence, establishing a solid foundation for decades of joint cooperation. The two countries maintain continuous coordination in international forums, particularly within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in addition to their strategic partnership in global energy markets through the OPEC+ alliance, where they play a pivotal role in stabilizing global oil markets.
The importance of regional stability and its international impact
This Kazakh affirmation carries significant political implications on both the regional and international levels, highlighting the broad international rejection of any threats to the Kingdom's security, given its pivotal role as a cornerstone of stability in the Middle East and the Islamic world. Observers emphasize that targeting the Kingdom's security poses a threat not only to a specific country but also to global energy supplies and international trade routes, thus necessitating a firm and unified international stance against any hostile actions that undermine international peace and security.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, continues its diplomatic and political efforts to promote security and peace in the region, while maintaining its legitimate right to defend its territory in accordance with international laws and conventions. This position enjoys broad support from brotherly and friendly countries, as reflected in President Tokayev’s call.
