Khalid bin Salman discusses strategic partnership and peace in Washington

In a move reflecting the deep and strong historical relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz , Minister of Defense, held a series of important talks at the White House in Washington, D.C., today, with senior officials in the American administration.
The meetings included a high-level gathering with US Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Marco Rubio, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Wittkopf. This visit comes at a crucial time, as the world and the region face geopolitical challenges that necessitate close coordination among major powers and decision-makers.
Strengthening the strategic partnership
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the deep-rooted strategic relations between the two friendly countries, which extend over decades of fruitful cooperation in various fields, particularly in defense and security. They also discussed prospects for the Saudi-American partnership and ways to strengthen and develop it in a manner that serves mutual interests and fulfills the aspirations of both countries' leadership.

The high-level diplomatic and military presence reflected the importance of these talks, as the meeting was attended on the Saudi side by Her Royal Highness Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States, His Excellency Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari, and Advisor to His Highness the Minister of Defense for Intelligence Affairs, Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif.
On the American side, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Keane, participated in the meeting, which confirms the strategic and military nature of the issues discussed during the meeting.
