As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people during these difficult times, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributing urgent relief aid in the Gaza Strip. Yesterday, large quantities of food baskets were distributed to displaced people in the Al-Qarara area, south of Gaza, as part of the Saudi popular campaign to aid the Palestinian people.
Organized distribution targeting the most needy groups
The field teams of the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage – the implementing partner of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in the Gaza Strip – oversaw the distribution process according to a precise plan and organized mechanism. This process aimed to ensure that aid reached the largest possible number of affected families, with the highest priority given to the most vulnerable and needy groups, especially women, children, and the elderly, who are suffering from a severe shortage of basic necessities due to the ongoing war and blockade.

The beneficiary families in the Al-Qarara area expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, for their sincere and ongoing support. This aid comes at a time when the Gaza Strip is facing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, with international and UN reports warning of worsening food insecurity and the risk of famine threatening hundreds of thousands of residents. Saudi aid plays a pivotal role in bridging the food and medical gap, as the Kingdom was among the first countries to provide assistance through various land, air, and sea channels, reflecting its historical and unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause and its support for the resilience of the Palestinian people.

In numerical terms that reflect the scale of the efforts, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center successfully operated a massive air and sea bridge to deliver aid to Gaza. The statistics for this support have reached the following levels to date:
- 78 relief have arrived
- Eight ships have been dispatched .
- The total cargo of the two air and sea bridges exceeded 7,706 tons of food, medical and shelter supplies.
- 914 Saudi relief trucks crossed into the Gaza Strip carrying shelter supplies, medical equipment and food.
- 20 fully equipped ambulances delivered to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
International partnerships and airdrop operations
The center did not limit itself to sending in-kind aid; it also signed strategic agreements with international and UN organizations to implement relief projects within the Gaza Strip, totaling $90.35 million . To ensure aid reached hard-to-reach areas due to closed crossings or destroyed roads, the Kingdom conducted targeted airdrops of food aid in partnership with the Jordanian Armed Forces, a move that underscores its commitment to delivering relief to its brothers and sisters by all available means.
This intensive humanitarian effort comes as a confirmation of the firm position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center, to stand by the Palestinian people and support them in various crises and hardships, in an effort to alleviate the severity of the humanitarian disaster that has befallen the sector.
