Smart robots serve the King Salman Quran Competition 1447

In a pioneering step reflecting the harmony between tradition and modernity, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance employed the latest artificial intelligence technologies to serve the Holy Quran and its people during the 27th King Salman Local Competition for Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Quran. This initiative comes under the direct guidance of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, to enhance the experience of participants and visitors.

Smart robots that speak 95 languages

The Ministry launched advanced AI-powered robots designed to provide high-quality services to participants in the competition. These robots are distinguished by their ability to communicate in more than 95 languages, facilitating interaction with diverse groups and nationalities. This technology provides comprehensive and accurate information about the competition, including participant statistics, details of the six competition categories, and information about the total value of the prize money, which amounts to 7 million riyals.

Among the most prominent technical services provided by these robots is the ability to send information and data instantly and directly to the phones of the contestants and visitors via the "WhatsApp" application, which reflects the level of technological progress in the logistical and informational services provided in this great Quranic event.

The competition is in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030

This step is not merely a fleeting technological addition; rather, it is central to the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which seeks digital transformation across all government sectors, including the religious sector. This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to harnessing modern technology to serve Islam and Muslims, and to demonstrate its profound respect for the Holy Quran. Integrating artificial intelligence into Quranic competitions enhances organizational efficiency and sends a message to the world that the Kingdom is the foremost custodian of the Holy Quran and a pioneer in developing mechanisms to serve it.
