The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' gift of dates arrives in Georgia and Australia during Ramadan

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance continued implementing its specialized programs during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH, launching the "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Gift of Dates" program in both Georgia and Australia. This program is an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing support for Muslims worldwide, embodying its noble mission of serving Islam and Muslims and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and love.
Program details in Georgia
In Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, the Ministry held an inauguration ceremony at the Saudi Arabian Embassy on Friday, the 3rd of Ramadan, 1447 AH. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Georgia, Mr. Mohammed Khasr Al-Shammari, along with the representative of the Grand Mufti, Mr. Aktay Isaev, and a number of Islamic figures and officials. The program in Georgia aims to distribute four tons of premium dates, a gift expected to reach more than 16,000 beneficiaries, reflecting the wise leadership's commitment to addressing the needs of Muslims and sharing in their joy during the holy month.
Australia Station: Strengthening Islamic Outreach
In parallel, in Australia, the Ministry launched the program in the capital, Canberra, on Thursday, the 2nd of Ramadan, 1447 AH. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Saudi Embassy, attended by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Australia, Mr. Sultan bin Khuzaym, the Chairman of the Council of Imams in Australia, Sheikh Adam Konda, and a number of prominent Islamic leaders. The Ministry allocated three tons of dates to Australia, which will benefit approximately 12,000 people, in a move that reinforces the Kingdom's humanitarian presence in Muslim communities that are geographically distant but close in spirit.
The strategic and humanitarian dimension of the gift
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Gift of Dates program is not merely a seasonal charitable initiative, but a cornerstone of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian diplomacy. Dates hold significant cultural and religious symbolism, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, and their association with the birthplace of Islam imbues them with profound sentimental value for recipients. This year, the program extends to 120 countries worldwide, underscoring the Kingdom's leading role as the heart of the Muslim world and a guardian of its interests, as well as its ongoing commitment to fostering cross-border cooperation and social solidarity.
Sustainability of Saudi Giving
These efforts are part of a comprehensive system of programs overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, aimed at meeting the needs of Muslim communities and supporting them, especially during religious seasons. The continuation and year-on-year expansion of this program reflects the unwavering commitment of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Crown Prince to serving the causes of the Muslim Ummah, upholding the values of tolerance and generosity, and affirming that the Kingdom's benevolent hand reaches those in need and our brothers and sisters across all continents.
