King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributes aid in Sudan, Lebanon and Burkina Faso

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid , continued its ongoing relief efforts to extend a helping hand to those in need and affected around the world. The latest aid included three countries: Sudan, Burkina Faso, and Lebanon, and varied between distributing food baskets and supporting emergency medical services.

Supporting food security in Sudan

As part of its urgent humanitarian response to the situation in Sudan, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 1,370 food baskets in the localities of Al-Manaqil, Al-Kamilin, and Al-Qurashi in Al-Jazirah State. This aid benefited 8,457 individuals from the most vulnerable groups. This assistance is part of the third phase of the Food Security Support Project in the Republic of Sudan, which has a timeline extending to 2026.

This aid is of utmost importance in light of the current circumstances in Sudan, as it contributes to alleviating the severity of the food crisis and providing basic needs for affected families, reflecting the depth of the fraternal relations between the Saudi and Sudanese peoples and the Kingdom’s keenness to stand by Sudan in its crises.

Extending the gift to West Africa

In a related context, Saudi Arabia's humanitarian efforts extended to the African continent, specifically to Burkina Faso, where the center distributed 1,194 food baskets in the town of Ouahigouya. This project successfully reached 1,194 families, benefiting 7,164 individuals. This distribution falls under the 2026 Food Security Support Project for the Most Vulnerable Groups in Burkina Faso.

This support is part of the Kingdom’s strategy to enhance food security in the African Sahel countries, which often suffer from climatic and economic challenges that affect food availability, making this aid have a tangible impact on the stability of local communities there.

Vital ambulance services in Lebanon

On the health front in Lebanon, the ambulance service of the "Subul al-Salam Social Association" in the Minieh region (northern Lebanon) continued its operations with support and funding from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. During the past week, the service carried out 39 diverse ambulance missions, including transporting patients and the injured to and from hospitals.

These services target both Syrian refugees and the Lebanese host community, thus alleviating the burden on the local healthcare sector. These efforts aim to strengthen the medical services system in areas where refugees are present and underscore the Kingdom's humanitarian commitment to supporting health and social stability in refugee-hosting countries.

It is worth noting that these initiatives are part of a series of relief and humanitarian projects implemented by the Kingdom through the King Salman Relief Center, which was established to be a beacon of international humanitarian work, providing its assistance without discrimination, and consolidating Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading country in global charitable work.
