King Salman Relief Center aid in Syria, Chad and Kosovo

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued its pioneering efforts in providing assistance to those in need around the world, as it recently intensified its relief activity in several countries, including Syria, Chad and Kosovo, targeting the most needy groups through quality projects that address their basic needs, especially with the arrival of seasons that require urgent intervention.

"Kanaf" project and winter support in Syria

As part of its humanitarian response to the ongoing Syrian crisis, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 1,823 shopping vouchers yesterday to enable beneficiaries to purchase essential winter clothing. The distribution included the Deir al-Asafir center in the Rif Dimashq Governorate and the Andan center in the Aleppo Governorate of the Syrian Arab Republic.

This initiative benefited 1,823 individuals from displaced and resident families as part of the "Winter Clothing Distribution" (Kanaf) project for 2026. This aid comes at a critical time, as Syrian regions suffer from a sharp drop in temperatures during winter, exacerbating the suffering of displaced people who lack heating and adequate clothing. This support has a tangible impact in protecting families and children from the harsh cold.

Enhancing food security in Chad

Across the African continent, Saudi Arabia's humanitarian efforts extended to the Republic of Chad, where the center distributed 628 cartons of dates to those most in need. The distribution covered several areas, including Konjar, Abu Habil Kornoy, Abu Habil Joukhani, and Abu Hofar in the Al-Bathaa Governorate.

This food aid benefited 3,728 individuals and is part of a project to distribute 800 tons of dates in the Republic of Chad in 2026. This project is part of the center's strategy to enhance food security in African countries facing economic and climatic challenges, as dates are a vital and high-value food source for these communities.

Food baskets in Kosovo

In a related development in Europe, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 300 food baskets in the city of Peja, Kosovo. These baskets benefited 1,000 individuals (300 families) as part of the "Food Basket 5" project in Kosovo for the year 2026.

These simultaneous actions across three different continents embody the pivotal role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, in alleviating the suffering of affected populations and meeting the essential needs of those in need across the globe without discrimination, in order to consolidate the principles of global humanitarian solidarity.
