King Salman Center completes 50 orthopedic surgeries in Gaza

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people, the volunteer medical team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center achieved a new medical milestone in the Gaza Strip. The team successfully performed 50 specialized orthopedic surgeries and provided medical examinations and consultations to 200 patients during a volunteer medical project hosted by the Arab National Hospital in Gaza from December 5th to 31st.

This project is of paramount importance given the dire health conditions in the Gaza Strip, where the healthcare sector faces numerous challenges, including shortages of medical supplies and specialized surgical personnel. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's intervention through this unique project will help alleviate the long waiting lists for patients requiring urgent orthopedic surgery, positively impacting their quality of life and their ability to lead normal daily lives, particularly in light of the high injury rates and the critical need for this type of medical expertise.

This project is an extension of a long series of humanitarian initiatives undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, which has consistently extended a helping hand to those in need across the globe since its inception, with a particular focus on the Palestinian cause. These volunteer medical campaigns reflect the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people, not only through food and shelter assistance, but also by providing sustainable medical solutions and high-quality treatments delivered by qualified Saudi volunteer medical professionals.

Regionally, this initiative highlights the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in international humanitarian work, where aid extends beyond mere financial support to include the transfer of medical expertise and the performance of complex surgeries in areas of need. These efforts contribute to strengthening the fraternal ties between the Saudi and Palestinian peoples and underscore that the humanitarian dimension remains a fundamental pillar of the Kingdom's foreign policy, which consistently strives to alleviate human suffering in conflict and crisis zones.

In conclusion, the successful completion of 50 surgeries in record time is evidence of the efficiency of the volunteer medical team and the readiness of the King Salman Relief Center to deal with field challenges, confirming the center’s continued commitment to implementing its ambitious plans to reach the most needy groups and provide integrated health care to low-income families and patients whose financial circumstances prevent them from obtaining the necessary treatment.
