King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributes aid in 6 countries around the world

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center , continued to affirm its leading role in global charitable work, as the center implemented a series of simultaneous relief operations in six countries spread across three continents, targeting the most needy and affected groups, within the framework of the Kingdom’s strategy to enhance food and water security around the world.

Intensive efforts in Yemen: a water lifeline

In Yemen, which is experiencing one of the world's worst humanitarian crises, the center has intensified its efforts in the water and sanitation sectors. These projects are of paramount importance given the ongoing concerns about outbreaks of waterborne diseases such as cholera. The center has successfully pumped more than 900,000 liters of potable water and more than 11 million liters of water for other uses in the governorates of Hajjah and Sa'dah, in addition to carrying out waste removal campaigns in camps for internally displaced persons, directly contributing to improving the health and living conditions of thousands of Yemeni families.

Food security in Asia and Europe

In terms of food security, the helping hands extended to the Republic of Uzbekistan, where the center distributed hundreds of food baskets in the Altinkul region, as part of an ambitious plan to distribute thousands of baskets by 2026. In the European continent, specifically in the Republic of Kosovo, the center continued to implement the “Food Basket” project, providing food support to needy families in the city of Fush Kosovo, reflecting the comprehensiveness of Saudi aid and its lack of limitation to a specific geographical area.

Supporting communities in Africa and South America

In Africa, the center targeted the Republic of Chad by distributing large quantities of dates in the Al-Bathaa Governorate, benefiting approximately 9,000 individuals. This initiative reflects the Kingdom's commitment to supporting Sahel countries in addressing food shortages. South America was also included in Saudi Arabia's humanitarian efforts, with the Brazilian city of Guarulhos receiving 3,000 cartons of dates. These benefits were distributed to families within the host community and refugees of various nationalities, highlighting the center's international and humanitarian reach, which transcends borders and ethnicities.

The Kingdom's humanitarian vision

These simultaneous moves embody the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which places humanitarian work at the heart of its international relations. Since its establishment, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has sought to provide assistance to those in need across the globe without discrimination, relying on accurate data to determine actual needs and ensure that aid reaches those who deserve it, thus enhancing the Kingdom’s position as one of the world’s largest donors of humanitarian aid.
