The King Salman Center distributes dates in Hadramawt and Shabwa as part of the 2026 plan

As part of the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the brotherly Yemeni people, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid to implement its ambitious relief programs, as the center distributed 1,300 cartons of dates in the governorates of Hadramawt and Shabwa, as part of the project to distribute date aid in the Republic of Yemen for the year 2026.
Distribution details in Hadramawt and Shabwa
The Hadramawt Governorate witnessed intensive activity by the center's teams, with the distribution of 900 cartons of dates in the districts of Haridah and Amd. This quantity helped meet the food needs of 5,400 individuals from the most vulnerable families in those areas, reflecting the center's commitment to reaching beneficiaries in various districts.
In parallel, the center extended its aid to Shabwa , distributing 400 cartons of dates in Al-Rawda District. This assistance benefited 2,800 individuals, bringing the total distribution across both governorates for this phase to 1,300 cartons, contributing to the food security of thousands of beneficiaries.
A strategic project for food security in Yemen
This distribution is part of a large-scale project undertaken by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, which aims to distribute 625,000 cartons of dates, weighing a total of 5,000 tons. This strategic project covers a wide geographical area, including the governorates of Abyan, Hodeidah, Ad Dali’, Al Mahrah, Taiz, Hajjah, Hadramawt, Socotra, Shabwah, Lahj, Aden, Marib, and Al Jawf. Approximately 375,000 individuals are expected to benefit from this vital project, making it one of the most important sources of food aid in Yemen.

This aid is particularly important given the difficult economic and living conditions in Yemen. Dates are a staple food with high nutritional value, upon which Yemeni families depend. This project reflects the unwavering commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to stand with the Yemeni people in their time of need and to alleviate their suffering by providing essential necessities.
