King Salman Center distributes food aid in 5 countries for 2026

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center , continues to affirm its leading role globally in charitable work, as the center launched a new package of urgent relief aid that included five countries in Asia, Africa and Europe, targeting thousands of needy and affected families, within the Kingdom’s strategy to enhance global food security.

Urgent relief for those affected in Sudan

In support of the Sudanese people during the current crises, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 500 food baskets on Tuesday to returnees and those affected in the Kalkul area of ​​Al-Kamilin locality in Al-Jazirah State. A total of 3,106 individuals benefited from this aid, which is part of the "Madad" project for Sudan in 2026. This project aims to bridge the food gap and provide basic necessities for families in the most affected areas.

Ongoing food aid in Afghanistan

Saudi Arabia's humanitarian efforts extended eastward, with the center distributing 557 cartons of dates in Gardez, the capital of Paktia province, and the Razmat district of Afghanistan. This distribution benefited 3,342 individuals, comprising 557 families, including returnees from neighboring countries, internally displaced persons, and orphans. This activity is part of an ambitious project to distribute 300 tons of dates to the Afghan people in 2026, reflecting the deep fraternal ties and the commitment to providing high-quality food.

"Food Basket" project in Kosovo

In Europe, specifically in the Republic of Kosovo, the center distributed 200 food baskets in the city of Malisheva, benefiting 1,000 individuals from 200 families. This distribution is part of the "Food Basket 5" project for 2026, which aims to distribute a total of 8,017 food baskets containing essential items, covering the needs of 40,000 beneficiaries across 30 counties in Kosovo, thus contributing to easing the financial burden on needy families.

Distribution of dates and baskets in Chad and Uzbekistan

The African continent was not absent from the aid map, as the center distributed 350 cartons of dates in the Boudro region of the Chari-Baqermi province in Chad, benefiting 2,100 individuals from the most needy groups, as part of a project to distribute 800 tons of dates.

In Central Asia, the center intensified its efforts in the Republic of Uzbekistan by distributing 410 food baskets in the Azizbekova district of Jizzakh, benefiting 3,000 individuals. Simultaneously, another 410 food baskets were distributed in the Rudaki district of the ancient city of Samarkand, benefiting 1,547 individuals, as part of the "Food Basket" project dedicated to Uzbekistan.

This simultaneous aid comes as part of the ongoing relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, which was established to be a beacon of hope and a helping hand extended to those in need across the globe without discrimination.
