King Salman Relief Center distributes shelter aid in Hajjah, Yemen

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the brotherly Yemeni people, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued implementing its urgent relief programs in various Yemeni governorates. In its latest field operation, the Center distributed essential shelter assistance in Hajjah Governorate, specifically in Haradh District, which is suffering from exceptional humanitarian conditions.
The aid provided included the distribution of 100 complete shelter kits and 100 tents in the Shuleila camp in Haradh district, Hajjah governorate. This assistance directly contributed to providing safe shelter for 1,122 individuals from the most vulnerable families affected by the current crisis, as part of the emergency shelter assistance project aimed at securing the basic needs of displaced persons.
In the context of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen,
this initiative comes at a time when Yemen is facing one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. The ongoing conflict has displaced millions of people from their homes, making shelter, food, and medicine a critical priority. Hajjah Governorate, and Haradh District in particular, has witnessed massive waves of displacement, placing immense pressure on infrastructure and available resources. This makes the intervention of aid organizations vital for saving lives and preserving human dignity.
the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has played a leading role,
placing the Yemeni crisis at the forefront of its priorities. It has acted as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian arm, extending a helping hand to the Yemeni people without discrimination. The Center's efforts are not limited to shelter assistance alone, but also encompass food security, health, water and sanitation, and education, with the aim of alleviating the suffering of Yemeni citizens amidst the difficult circumstances their country is facing.
The strategic importance of
this aid is particularly evident given the approaching seasons when the need for safe shelter from the elements is most acute. These tents and shelter kits contribute to providing a minimum level of stability for displaced families, helping them to withstand daily challenges. This support also reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's unwavering commitment to humanitarian principles and international law, underscoring its pivotal role as a key supporter of humanitarian stability in the region.
This distribution comes as an extension of a long series of projects implemented by the center, which aim to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable groups, and to emphasize the bonds of brotherhood and neighborliness that unite the Saudi and Yemeni peoples.
