King Salman Center distributes winter clothes and food in Gaza

As part of the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support the brotherly Palestinian people, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid its intensive field activity in the Gaza Strip, where yesterday it distributed large quantities of winter clothing for children, in addition to integrated food baskets to displaced families in the southern areas of the Strip.
This aid comes as an integral part of the Saudi popular campaign to aid the Palestinian people , which was directed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to alleviate the suffering of those affected in the sector due to the current circumstances.
Urgent response to harsh winter conditions
The timing of this distribution was a direct response to the growing needs of displaced families, particularly with the onset of severe cold weather. Children and the elderly in displacement camps and shelters face difficult health and living conditions due to the plummeting temperatures and the acute shortage of heating and warm clothing. Saudi aid focused on addressing this gap by providing winter clothing to protect children from the cold, as well as enhancing food security through food baskets containing essential items to meet families' daily needs.
An organized distribution mechanism and effective partnerships
The field distribution operations were carried out by teams from the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, the implementing partner of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in the Gaza Strip. The operations were conducted according to a precise organizational mechanism aimed at ensuring that aid reached the most vulnerable and affected groups, thus guaranteeing coverage for the largest possible number of displaced families living in exceptional circumstances.
Historical context and the Kingdom's leading role
This support is not a one-off event, but rather an extension of Saudi Arabia's long history of unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. For decades, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been one of the largest donors and supporters of Palestine, providing both humanitarian and developmental aid. This assistance is particularly important in light of the current crisis, as it contributes to strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian people and providing a lifeline to those affected.
Regionally and internationally, this initiative reflects the Kingdom's commitment to its leading role in humanitarian work and underscores the importance of Arab and Islamic solidarity during times of crisis. The beneficiary families expressed their deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, affirming that this fraternal support has tangibly alleviated the hardships of displacement and the harshness of winter, providing them with a sense of security and moral support during this ordeal.
The Saudi relief bridge, both air and sea, continues to transport tons of medical, food and shelter aid, embodying the noble humanitarian values adopted by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center, to stand by its brothers in various circumstances.
