King Salman Center distributes winter clothing to students in Khan Younis, Gaza

As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, continued its relief programs in the Gaza Strip. Yesterday, the Center distributed complete sets of winter clothing to students in schools and educational facilities in the Mawasi Khan Younis area, in the southern Gaza Strip, as part of the Saudi popular campaign to aid the Palestinian people.
Field teams from the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage – the implementing partner of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in Gaza – have begun distributing aid to protect children and students from the severe cold waves sweeping the region. The support was not limited to material assistance; the distributions were accompanied by recreational activities and interactive events specifically designed for the students, aiming to bring joy and happiness to their hearts and help alleviate the psychological stress and trauma they are experiencing due to the current circumstances.
This initiative is of paramount importance given the harsh winter conditions faced by residents of the Gaza Strip, particularly displaced people and children, who suffer from a severe shortage of heating supplies and winter clothing. This aid will fill a significant gap in basic needs, providing warmth and protection to the most vulnerable members of society and enabling students to continue their education in healthier and more humane conditions.
This step is an integral part of the Saudi popular campaign launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister, reflecting the strong popular and official Saudi solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Since its inception, the campaign has successfully established air and sea bridges carrying thousands of tons of food, medical supplies, and shelter materials.
Historically, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always been at the forefront of countries supporting the Palestinian cause on all political, economic, and humanitarian levels. The work of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center embodies this unwavering commitment, with its diverse projects encompassing food security, health, shelter, and education. This underscores the Kingdom's noble mission of extending a helping hand to those affected and afflicted around the world, and standing by the Palestinian people in the various crises and hardships they face.
