King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributes humanitarian aid in 8 countries

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center , continues to reaffirm its leading global role in charitable and relief work. These ongoing efforts embody the Kingdom's deeply rooted values of extending a helping hand to those in need and those affected by disasters across the globe, without racial or religious discrimination. The Center has recently intensified its activities through a series of vital projects targeting thousands of families in Asia and Africa.

Comprehensive humanitarian response in Africa

As part of its efforts to enhance food security and support the most vulnerable groups in Africa, the center launched a series of impactful projects. In Chad , two major projects were launched in the capital, N'Djamena, aiming to distribute 800 tons of dates and provide 13,500 hygiene kits, with an expected number of beneficiaries exceeding 678,000 individuals. This initiative was widely praised by Chadian officials, who affirmed that these projects will make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.

In Sudan , as part of the ongoing "Madad" project, the center distributed 1,000 food baskets in North Kordofan State, benefiting more than 6,600 displaced people and contributing to alleviating the humanitarian crisis there. Aid also reached the Republic of Niger , where 500 food baskets were distributed in the city of Abla Tabalabiri to support displaced people and the host community.

Supporting winter and food security in Asia

With the arrival of winter and the intensification of cold waves, the center turned its focus towards Asia. In Pakistan , 1,000 winter kits were distributed as part of the 2026 "Kanaf" project, targeting flood-affected and colder areas in the Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, benefiting more than 7,500 individuals.

In Afghanistan , the center continued to support food security by distributing 481 food baskets in Faryab province, benefiting hundreds of families of returnees, displaced persons and orphans, reflecting the comprehensiveness of the center’s humanitarian planning in covering basic needs.

Healthcare and housing in the Arab region

Arab countries were not overlooked in Saudi Arabia's support efforts. In Lebanon , as part of the fourth phase of the "Kanaf" project, the center distributed 569 vouchers for winter clothing, designated for orphans and people with special needs among refugees and the host community. In Syria , 272 shelter kits were distributed in Aleppo Governorate to support affected families.

In Yemen , the center continues to provide vital medical services by supporting health clinics. Clinics at the Al-Ja'ada Center in Hajjah Governorate and mobile clinics in Al-Hudaydah Governorate have provided treatment to thousands of patients and injured individuals, including emergency, internal medicine, pediatric, and reproductive health clinics, in addition to laboratory and pharmacy services, thus forming a lifeline for the health sector in the targeted areas.

The strategic impact of Saudi aid

These humanitarian initiatives are of paramount importance, extending far beyond immediate relief efforts. They bolster the Kingdom's standing as a soft power supporting international stability and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. They also reflect the Kingdom's commitment to Vision 2030, which places humanitarian work at the heart of its international priorities, reaffirming that Saudi Arabia's benevolent hand will always be extended to those in need, everywhere and at all times.
