The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continues to provide medical and food assistance in Yemen

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to supporting the brotherly Yemeni people and alleviating their humanitarian suffering, the Kingdom's humanitarian arms continued their intensive activities in several Yemeni governorates. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center intensified its field efforts during January 2026, targeting the most needy and affected areas, specifically in the governorates of Hajjah and Hadramawt, by providing a comprehensive package of medical services and food aid.

Integrated healthcare in Hajjah Governorate

As part of ongoing efforts to combat diseases and epidemics, the mobile medical clinic of the center continued providing its services in the Al-Walan camp for internally displaced persons in Haradh District, Hajjah Governorate. From January 7 to 13, 2026, the clinic saw a large influx of beneficiaries, with 82 individuals receiving the necessary care.

Medical services were distributed across various vital specialties. The infectious disease clinic received 33 patients, the emergency clinic 22, and the internal medicine clinic 15, in addition to 3 cases at the reproductive health clinic. Efforts were not limited to treatment but also included preventative measures, with 9 people benefiting from the awareness and education department. Regarding support services, the nursing department provided care to 69 patients, medications were dispensed to 73, and 3 patients visited the surgery and dressing clinic. Two activities were also carried out for the safe disposal of medical waste.

Supporting food security in Hadramawt

In parallel with health efforts and as part of efforts to enhance food security, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 500 cartons of dates in the Haridah district of Hadramawt Governorate. This project targeted the most vulnerable groups in society, benefiting 3,000 individuals from the neediest families and people with disabilities. This distribution is part of the 2026 scheduled food assistance project, which aims to bridge the food gap in various regions of Yemen.

The humanitarian context and the Kingdom's leading role

This aid is of paramount strategic importance given the exceptional circumstances in Yemen, where the health sector's infrastructure faces significant challenges, making mobile clinics a lifeline for displaced people in border and remote areas such as Hajjah Governorate. Furthermore, food aid, particularly dates, provides high nutritional value for families suffering from a lack of basic resources.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is a global model in relief work. Its efforts extend beyond emergency aid to include sustainable development and health projects. These initiatives reflect the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to standing with the Yemeni people, underscoring the deep fraternal ties between the two countries and the Kingdom's ongoing pursuit of humanitarian and economic stability in Yemen and the region.
