King Salman Relief Center treats displaced people in Hajjah, Yemen
As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to supporting the brotherly Yemeni people and alleviating their humanitarian suffering, the mobile medical clinic of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued to provide vital medical services at the Al-Walan camp for internally displaced persons in Haradh District, Hajjah Governorate. These efforts are part of a series of relief and health projects implemented by the Center in various Yemeni governorates to ensure access to healthcare for those most in need.
Statistics on medical services provided
Between December 10 and 16, 2025, the clinics received 71 beneficiaries from among the displaced and camp residents, providing a range of essential medical services. The infectious disease control clinic treated 24 patients, reflecting a strong focus on preventative care and limiting the spread of infectious diseases in displacement settings. The emergency clinic received 10 critical cases, all of which were efficiently managed, while 21 beneficiaries received care at the internal medicine clinic, and 3 women visited the reproductive health clinic.
The services provided were not limited to direct treatment but also included awareness and support programs. Thirteen individuals benefited from the health awareness and education programs. Regarding ancillary services, the nursing department provided care to 58 patients and dispensed necessary medications to 58 individuals. Additionally, one patient was seen at the surgery and dressing clinic. The clinic also prioritized environmental and public health by implementing two activities for the safe disposal of medical waste.
The importance of humanitarian intervention in Hajjah Governorate
These medical services are of paramount importance given the dire circumstances in Hajjah Governorate, particularly in Haradh District, which hosts a large number of displaced people lacking even the most basic healthcare. The health sector in Yemen as a whole faces immense challenges due to the ongoing crisis, making the mobile clinics operated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center a lifeline for many families unable to afford treatment or access distant hospitals.
The Kingdom's leading role in relief work
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and has played a pivotal role since its establishment in providing comprehensive support to Yemen in the sectors of food security, shelter, health, and education. These mobile clinics are part of an integrated strategy aimed at bridging the gap in medical services, combating epidemics, and supporting the dilapidated health infrastructure, reflecting the deep fraternal ties between the Saudi and Yemeni peoples and the Kingdom's commitment to the stability of Yemen and the well-being of its citizens.
