King Salman Relief Clinics serve 203 beneficiaries in Abs

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the brotherly Yemeni people, mobile medical clinics affiliated with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued providing their medical services in Abs District, Hajjah Governorate. This initiative complements the vital health projects implemented by the Center in areas suffering from a severe shortage of medical services and health infrastructure.

According to official statistics issued by the center, 203 beneficiaries of various age groups visited its clinics between January 21 and 27. The medical services provided covered several vital specialties. The infectious disease control clinic received 91 beneficiaries, a number that reflects the crucial importance of these clinics in monitoring and containing diseases before they spread. The emergency clinic provided services to 31 individuals, while the internal medicine clinic received 65 patients. The health awareness and education department served 16 beneficiaries to promote community health awareness.

Support services and logistical support

The mobile clinics' efforts extended beyond medical examinations to include accompanying and support services to ensure comprehensive care. The nursing services clinic saw 37 patients, dispensed necessary medications to 97 patients, and two injured individuals were admitted to the surgery and dressing department. Furthermore, in an effort to maintain a healthy environment and prevent contamination, two medical waste disposal activities were carried out using safe methods.

Human context and strategic importance

These mobile clinics are of exceptional importance in Hajjah Governorate, particularly in Abs District, a densely populated area hosting a large number of internally displaced persons. The health sector in Yemen as a whole faces severe challenges due to the current situation, making the interventions of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center crucial in preventing the collapse of the health system in remote and affected areas.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is a pioneer in international relief work, with the Yemeni crisis being a top priority. These medical projects contribute to alleviating the suffering of thousands of Yemeni families, providing health security, and curbing the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases that could pose a regional threat if left unchecked. These efforts underscore the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to supporting Yemen in all areas, particularly the health sector, which directly and daily impacts the lives of Yemeni citizens.
