The city leadership welcomes the guests of the Ministry of Defense after they performed the Hajj rituals in 1445 AH

In a spiritual atmosphere, and after completing their Hajj rituals with ease and tranquility, the leadership of the Madinah region welcomed high-level delegations of guests of the Saudi Ministry of Defense who performed the Hajj pilgrimage for the year 1445 AH. The delegation included senior military figures such as defense ministers, chiefs of staff, army commanders, and military officials from a number of brotherly and friendly countries, as part of the annual hosting program organized by the Ministry.

An annual hosting program fosters relationships

The Ministry of Defense's program to host senior military leaders is a long-standing annual tradition, reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to serving pilgrims from around the world. It represents a significant aspect of military diplomacy aimed at strengthening ties of brotherhood and cooperation with sisterly and friendly nations. This program provides an opportunity to exchange expertise and enhance bilateral relations in the defense and military fields, all within a unique spiritual atmosphere.

The importance of visiting Medina after Hajj

Visiting Medina after performing Hajj holds special significance for Muslims, as it is the city of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his final resting place. To enrich the spiritual experience of the pilgrims, a comprehensive program has been prepared for them in Medina, allowing them to visit and pray at the Prophet's Mosque and pay their respects to the Prophet and his two companions (may God be pleased with them). The regional leadership is working in coordination with all governmental and security agencies to facilitate the movement of the pilgrims, ensure their safe accommodation and transportation, and guarantee that they can perform their visit in peace and devotion.

Cultural and historical tours

The program was not limited to worship alone, but also included cultural and historical tours of prominent Islamic landmarks in Medina. These visits encompassed sites of profound historical significance, such as the Quba Mosque, the first mosque built in Islam, and the Uhud Martyrs' Cemetery, which commemorates one of the most important battles in early Islam. These tours aimed to introduce guests to Medina's rich historical heritage and connect them with the noble life of the Prophet Muhammad.

An integrated system to serve the guests of God

In a statement, the Commander of the Madinah Region, Major General Mohammed bin Ali Al-Asmari, affirmed that the success of this year's Hajj season was due first and foremost to God's grace, and then to the generous support and patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the diligent follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Al-Asmari noted that efforts were integrated across all government sectors in Madinah, under the direct supervision of the Governor of the Region, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, and his Deputy, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud, to provide a comprehensive system of services that ensures the comfort and safety of all pilgrims and visitors.
