This is achieved by receiving pilgrims and facilitating their procedures in their home countries with ease and convenience, starting with collecting biometric data and issuing Hajj visas electronically, and continuing with passport control procedures at the departure airport, after careful verification of all necessary health requirements to ensure everyone's safety.
In addition, there is an advanced system for coding and sorting luggage according to transportation and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom. Thanks to this system, pilgrims are transferred directly upon arrival to buses designated to take them to their accommodations in the Makkah and Madinah regions via dedicated routes, while partner agencies deliver their luggage to them without any hassle or waiting in the arrival halls.

The Makkah Route Initiative is a leading initiative within the “Guests of God Service Program,” one of the key programs of Saudi Vision 2030. Launched in 1438 AH (2017 CE), the initiative was a strategic step aimed at transforming the Hajj experience. However, with the launch of this initiative, these procedures are now completed at the airports of departure countries, saving unprecedented time and effort.
