The Governor of Riyadh sponsors the ninth mass wedding ceremony of the Insan Association

In an evening embodying the values of social solidarity and national unity, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, sponsored the ninth mass wedding ceremony organized by the Riyadh Region Orphan Care Charity Association, "Insan," on Sunday evening. The ceremony, held under the slogan "The Joy of a Groom 9," witnessed the marriage of 106 sons of the association, amidst a notable attendance of officials, supporters, and the grooms' families.

Supporting leadership and empowering the non-profit sector

This event reflects the great attention that the wise leadership – may God support them – pays to the non-profit sector and charitable work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The “Insan” Association is a pioneering model in this field, enjoying continuous support to enable it to fulfill its noble mission towards orphans. The presence of His Royal Highness the Prince of Riyadh at this event reflects the region's keenness to support social initiatives that promote family stability and contribute to building a vibrant society, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which focuses on maximizing the social impact of the third sector.

Ceremony and speech of the association

The ceremony began with the Royal Anthem and a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the Director General of the Association, Mohammed bin Saad Al-Muharib, who expressed his deepest gratitude to the wise leadership for its generous support of orphan care associations. Al-Muharib also commended Prince Faisal bin Bandar for his patronage of the event, emphasizing that this support serves as a significant incentive for both staff and beneficiaries. He further thanked His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman, Vice Chairman of the Board, for his meticulous oversight of the Association's programs and his commitment to ensuring their sustainability.

A development project to build stable families

During the ceremony, the association emphasized that the mass wedding initiative is not merely a fleeting celebration, but a comprehensive development project aimed at establishing stable family units. Al-Muharib explained in his speech that the association has successfully contributed to the formation of over 3,000 families in recent years, reflecting the profound social impact of these initiatives. In a remarkable statistic for this year, the association is celebrating the marriage of 282 young men and women. 106 grooms were celebrated this evening, while the weddings of 176 young women from the association will be celebrated in a separate ceremony, highlighting the inclusive care provided to both genders.

Effective community partnerships

The ceremony included a video presentation titled “A Promise Extending to Build Tomorrow,” showcasing success stories and the initiative’s impact on the lives of beneficiaries. In his address to the partners, Abdulaziz Al-Anzi, CEO of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Endowments, praised the transformative impact of the “Insan” Association on the lives of orphans, moving them from a stage of dependency and need to one of empowerment and productivity. He emphasized that the endowments’ support for such initiatives stems from a deep belief that caring for orphans at pivotal life stages, such as marriage, is a genuine investment in the security and stability of society.

The joy of the newlyweds and the conclusion

The ceremony concluded with a moving speech by the newlyweds, who expressed their gratitude to His Royal Highness the Prince of Riyadh and the association for this compassionate and fatherly gesture that smoothed the path to marriage for them. His Royal Highness then witnessed the grooms' procession and their participation in the traditional Saudi Ardah dance, amidst an atmosphere of joy and happiness, before honoring the sponsors and taking commemorative photos that captured these happy moments in the journey of the "Insan" children.
