Al-Khokha Medical Clinics treat 4,824 beneficiaries with the support of the King Salman Center

Mobile medical and nutritional clinics in Al-Khawkhah District, Al-Hudaydah Governorate, continued providing their pioneering medical and humanitarian services, benefiting 4,824 individuals between January 21 and 27, thanks to the generous and ongoing support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. This project is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's tireless efforts to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people and support the health sector, which faces significant challenges.
The context of humanitarian support and its importance
These clinics are of paramount strategic importance due to their location in Al-Khawkhah District, a vital artery and refuge for many displaced people in Al-Hudaydah Governorate. This support reflects the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's commitment to providing primary healthcare to those in need in affected areas. These clinics help bridge the significant gap in medical services, providing free medications and laboratory tests, thus alleviating the financial burden on Yemeni families amidst the difficult economic conditions.
Details of therapeutic and specialized services
According to official statistics from the clinics, the services provided covered a wide range of vital medical specialties. The internal medicine clinic received 933 patients, while the emergency clinic treated 792 critical and urgent cases, and the pediatric clinic provided care to 289 children. In the context of combating communicable diseases, the epidemiology clinic saw 335 patients, and 273 individuals benefited from the services of the mobile medical team that reaches remote areas.
The clinics also paid special attention to reproductive and surgical health. The reproductive health department saw 304 patients, the therapeutic nutrition department provided services to 106 individuals, and 40 people received immunizations. Additionally, 18 babies were delivered in the obstetrics department. The surgery and dressing clinic saw 224 patients, while 7 cases were referred through the medical referral department for advanced treatment.
Accompanying services and health awareness
The role extended beyond direct treatment to include vital support services. Laboratory tests were conducted for 1,371 beneficiaries, free medications were dispensed to 2,638 patients, and 2,152 cases were seen in the healthcare department. Blood transfusions were performed for 7 patients, and electrocardiograms were conducted for 9. Equally important, the awareness and education department implemented outreach campaigns that benefited 1,503 individuals, reflecting a focus on preventative measures to raise health awareness among the population and reduce the spread of diseases.
