The fourth season of the Knights of Education competition has begun

In a move reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to developing its education system, the Ministry of Education launched the fourth season of its pioneering competitive television program, "Knights of Education," for the current academic year 2026. This launch builds upon the significant successes achieved by the program in its previous three seasons, with the primary aim of preparing globally competitive citizens and stimulating academic and intellectual achievement among students at all educational levels.

General context and importance of the event locally and regionally

Historically, the Kingdom has always valued cultural and educational competitions as an effective tool for discovering talent and developing capabilities. The "Knights of Education" program stands out as one of the most important modern initiatives that translates the objectives of the Human Capability Development Program, one of the programs for achieving Saudi Vision 2030. The importance of this event lies locally in creating cultural and scientific exchange among various educational departments, while regionally, the program presents a model to be emulated in purposeful educational media that integrates entertainment and education (edutainment) in a modern style that appeals to new generations.

The program is based in essence on promoting the values ​​of national belonging and introducing the Kingdom’s heritage and ancient history through modern innovative methods, which contributes to building the student’s integrated personality that is proud of its identity and keeps pace with the developments of the times.

Participation details and competing teams

The first direct confrontations of this season witnessed a thrilling competition between the education departments of Asir and Jazan, marking the beginning of a series of cultural and educational competitions. Sixteen education departments are participating in this major cultural event, representing a select group of creative individuals from across the Kingdom, including: Madinah, Hail, Riyadh, the Northern Borders, Jeddah, Al-Jawf, Taif, Qassim, Al-Ahsa, Al-Baha, Makkah, Najran, the Eastern Province, and Tabuk.

The total number of participants is 96 students, with each team consisting of 6 contestants (3 boys and 3 girls), reflecting the Ministry's commitment to equal opportunities and fostering collaborative teamwork. These competitors will take part in the challenge across 15 live television episodes.

Competitive tours named after national landmarks

To strengthen the connection to national identity and major projects, the competition rounds were designed with names that reflect the Kingdom's vision and heritage, and vary to include:

  • The “Qiddiya” round: It depends on quick thinking and high concentration, where the two teams compete to answer questions that appear on an interactive ground screen.
  • Our Vision Tour: It includes eight comprehensive knowledge tracks covering: Arabic language, science, mathematics, digital technology, history, Islamic culture, and community principles.
  • The “Al-Ula” round: It is based on the strategy of nominating a knight from the team to face his counterpart in the “bidding question”, and it includes four patterns: letters, public bidding, and arranging the elements.
  • The 120-second challenge: A crucial round that tests students' ability to recall accurate and correct information under standard time pressure.
  • The “Our Kingdom” tour concludes the confrontation and aims to arrange scattered images in a “puzzle” system of the Kingdom’s ancient landmarks within a specific time, thus enhancing geographical and historical knowledge.

In conclusion, the “Knights of Education” program embodies the Ministry of Education’s vision of creating a leading educational competitive environment that presents educational content in an engaging manner that meets the aspirations of the new generation and contributes to building a conscious and educated generation capable of leading the future of the nation.
