Ministry of Education: Mandatory training programs via the Abaad platform

In a strategic move aimed at enhancing the efficiency of human capital and keeping pace with the Kingdom's rapid digital transformation, the Ministry of Education has launched a new package of mandatory e-training programs through the "Ab'aad" platform. This launch aligns with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places the development of education and the enhancement of its personnel's capabilities at the forefront of its national priorities.

Enhancing digital transformation and professional development

This step is part of the Kingdom's broader efforts to digitize government services and enhance institutional performance. Since the launch of Vision 2030, the education sector has undergone radical transformations focused on investing in human capital as the primary driver of development. The "Ab'aad" platform provides a flexible digital training environment that allows Ministry staff, both teachers and administrators, to easily access training content through the National Unified Access Portal, reflecting the integration of digital government platforms.

Enrollment mechanism and points calculation

The ministry clarified that the available programs are designed for all staff members, and beneficiaries can view the courses through the “My Courses” section and begin immediately. To ensure the training's effectiveness and maximize its benefits, the ministry requires a minimum passing grade of 80% to obtain the certificate. These certificates are particularly important as they are automatically credited towards teachers' professional development points and administrative staff's training points, directly contributing to career growth and promotions, and motivating employees to pursue continuous professional development.

Quality programs that keep pace with the challenges of the times

The training package includes mandatory programs carefully selected to meet the needs of the current phase, most notably:

  • Cybersecurity Program: In light of the increasing number of digital attacks globally, this program (two hours long) aims to provide employees with the skills necessary to protect data and build a secure digital work environment, with a focus on compliance and security operations.
  • Risk Management Program: This program (two hours long) seeks to establish the concepts of corporate governance, and to enable trainees to identify, assess, and proactively address potential risks in the educational environment.
  • Performance Management Program: This program (two and a half hours long) aims to move from the traditional evaluation concept to continuous performance management, ensuring quality and achieving the ministry's strategic goals.

Technical support and ongoing follow-up

The ministry affirmed its commitment to facilitating the training process by allowing simultaneous registration in multiple programs and providing progress tracking dashboards. It also established technical support channels through the "Tawasul" platform to address any technical challenges participants may encounter, ensuring the uninterrupted continuation of the training process.
