The “Markaz Al-Balad Al-Amin” event in the holy city of Mecca concluded with resounding success, recording exceptional achievements that reflect the scale of economic and developmental activity in the region. The event witnessed the signing of major strategic partnerships totaling approximately 3.7 billion Saudi riyals, amidst a remarkable public turnout exceeding 13,000 visitors. This event is part of ongoing efforts to promote sustainable development in Mecca, in line with the ambitious goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Strategic context and importance of developing the Holy Capital
Makkah holds an exceptional religious and historical position both regionally and internationally, as it is the Qibla for Muslims and the destination for millions of pilgrims performing Hajj and Umrah annually. From this perspective, the importance of events and dialogue platforms such as the Al-Balad Al-Amin Center, which aims to envision the city's urban and economic future, becomes clear. Developing Makkah's infrastructure and services has an impact not only on the local level but also extends to serving the entire Muslim world, thus supporting the "Guests of God Service Program," one of the most important programs of Vision 2030, which aims to facilitate hosting more Umrah pilgrims and providing high-quality services befitting the sanctity of the place.

During the event, visitors engaged with 23 innovative learning experiences designed to foster constructive dialogue and explore the future of development in the heart of Makkah. The center's halls hosted 74 speakers, including senior officials, experts, and leaders from various sectors. The sessions saw active participation from Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers, as well as 21 CEOs. Discussions focused primarily on developmental visions for major projects and the importance of strengthening integration and partnership between the public and private sectors to achieve comprehensive development.
In this context, His Excellency the Mayor of the Holy City of Mecca, Mr. Musaed bin Abdulaziz Al-Dawood, affirmed that this pioneering platform clearly embodies the vast investment opportunities available in Mecca. He pointed out that these efforts directly contribute to supporting the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and enhancing the quality of life for both residents and visitors.
Tangible societal impact and planning for the future
The success of this year's edition wasn't limited to economic and investment aspects; it extended to creating a broad and positive social impact. Numerous community initiatives were supported with over 12.8 million Saudi Riyals. This achievement was made possible thanks to the efforts of a dedicated and professional team of over 310 individuals who devoted their energy and expertise to the success of this unique experience.
For his part, the CEO of the Al-Balad Al-Amin Center, Professor Dhaifallah bin Ahmed Al-Khazmari, explained that work and planning for the next edition have already begun. This early planning aims to build upon the achievements of this edition and expand the scope of strategic partnerships that serve the sanctity of the place and enhance its developmental and economic standing.
Widespread digital reach and comprehensive media coverage
On the media front, the content accompanying the center's events achieved widespread global reach across various digital platforms. Views exceeded 5 million, with over 207,000 direct interactions from the audience. This digital presence was supported by the production of 545 media directors and 1,000 documentary publications.
This significant media attention has contributed to conveying the message of the Holy Capital Municipality, which aims to create a leading and sustainable dialogue platform.
