Graduates of the Moderation Fellowship commend Saudi Arabia's efforts in promoting moderation
A select group of graduate students from several Arab and Islamic countries expressed their deep gratitude and pride in the outcomes of the “Moderation and Tolerance Fellowship” program, overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The graduates affirmed that this program represents a qualitative leap and a pioneering academic model aimed at consolidating the concepts of moderation and combating extremist and radical ideologies, while achieving a delicate balance between sound Islamic scholarship and a conscious understanding of the changes of the modern era.
These statements coincided with the program's closing ceremony and the graduation of its second cohort, hosted by the Islamic University of Madinah, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh. The graduates expressed their appreciation for the significant support and official sponsorship the program received, reflecting the Saudi leadership's commitment to promoting the values of tolerance globally.
The Saudi vision and the approach of moderation
This program comes within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's tireless efforts to promote the values of moderation inherent in Islam, a cornerstone of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, spearheaded by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. As the heart of the Muslim world, the Kingdom seeks to present the true image of Islam, one based on mercy and coexistence, and to correct the misconceptions that extremist groups have attempted to associate with the religion. These fellowship programs are among the effective tools for training preachers and scholars capable of conveying this noble message to their respective countries.
Live testimonials of the program's excellence
In sharing the graduates' impressions, Dr. Muhammad bin Hussein Ashour Al-Dulaimi, a doctoral graduate in Islamic Creed from the Republic of Iraq, expressed his pride in belonging to this esteemed academic institution, praising the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. Al-Dulaimi emphasized that the Minister's visit to the participants was a significant morale booster, affirming that the program promotes the values of mercy and tolerance, following the path of the righteous predecessors. He also commended the Islamic University and its President, Dr. Saleh Al-Aqla, for their role in the success of this event.
For his part, Hussein Mohammed Al-Husseini from the Arab Republic of Egypt, who won third place in the program, explained that the experience was extremely enriching, providing a comprehensive package of knowledge that included Islamic creed, the jurisprudence of Da'wah (Islamic propagation), project management, and the application of modern technology in Da'wah work. Al-Husseini praised the integrated roles of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the General Authority for Endowments, and partner Saudi universities such as King Abdulaziz University and the University of Tabuk, which contributed to building a sustainable vision for Da'wah.
Global dimensions and sustainable impact
In a related context, Abdulwahab Mohammed Ali Badi from the Republic of Yemen noted that the participation of students from more than fifty countries reflects the global reach and leadership of the Kingdom's message. He emphasized that the benefits extended beyond the purely religious aspect, encompassing intellectual, technical, and educational dimensions. This program is expected to have a far-reaching positive impact, as these graduates will return to their homelands carrying the torch of moderation, contributing to the stability of their societies and protecting them against foreign ideologies. This underscores the Kingdom's pivotal role in promoting peace and intellectual security at both the regional and international levels.
The graduates concluded their speech by praying that God protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, and reward it with the best reward for the great services it provides to Islam and Muslims in all parts of the world.
