The Ministry of Interior launches the official seal for the World Defence Exhibition 2026 in Riyadh

The Saudi Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Passports, announced the launch of a special stamp for the “World Defence Exhibition 2026” to welcome travelers and international delegations arriving in the Kingdom via King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and the dedicated exhibition airport in the Malham area. This initiative coincides with the start of the exhibition, scheduled to take place from February 8 to 12, 2026, in Riyadh.
The Ministry of Interior is participating under the slogan “Muqdam”
The Ministry of Interior is participating in this edition of the exhibition with a distinguished pavilion bearing the slogan “Miqdam” (meaning “Team” or “Proactive”), through which the Ministry is showcasing its comprehensive strategy for developing the internal security system. The pavilion places significant emphasis on employing artificial intelligence technologies and innovative digital solutions that contribute to strengthening the concept of “safe cities.” The participation also aims to highlight the Ministry’s advanced capabilities in the areas of border security, crisis and disaster management, and the development of field security operations, in addition to its efforts in environmental protection and the safeguarding of vital infrastructure.
World Defence Exhibition: A global platform and an ambitious vision
The World Defence Exhibition, organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), is one of the world’s leading events in the defense and security sector. The exhibition attracts major international companies, government entities, and industry leaders from around the globe. The 2026 edition is particularly significant as it builds upon the successes of previous editions, aiming to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a global defense manufacturing hub and support the Kingdom’s ambitions to localize more than 50% of government spending on military equipment and services by 2030.
The strategic and economic importance of the event
The importance of the World Defence Exhibition extends beyond security and military aspects to encompass significant economic and strategic dimensions. The exhibition provides a fertile ground for forging international partnerships, exchanging expertise, and transferring technology and knowledge to national talent. Furthermore, the event contributes to stimulating economic and tourism activity in Riyadh, the capital city, as thousands of visitors and experts flock to attend the accompanying events and live demonstrations.
A welcome message reflecting Saudi hospitality
The “Passports” initiative, which involves stamping the passports of arriving visitors with the exhibition seal, serves as a welcoming message reflecting Saudi hospitality and underscoring the Kingdom’s attention to every detail that enriches the visitor experience from the moment they arrive. This procedure is part of the integrated logistical support and facilities provided by government agencies to ensure the success of this global event and showcase the Kingdom’s civilized and progressive image to the international community.
