Arab National Bank launches the “In the aid of the guests of God” initiative for Hajj 1447 AH
Arab National Bank (ANB) has announced the launch of the fourth edition of its pioneering initiative "In the Service of the Guests of God," which is preparing to offer its comprehensive volunteer services to pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1447 AH. This initiative, which was first launched in the Hajj season of 1444 AH, underscores the bank's ongoing national role in supporting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's significant efforts to serve the guests of God and enable them to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
Serving pilgrims is a cornerstone of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, specifically within the Pilgrims Service Program, which aims to enrich the religious and cultural experience of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. Historically, the Kingdom has prioritized providing all means of comfort and safety for pilgrims since its founding, leveraging its geographical location as the cradle of Islam and home to the Two Holy Mosques. These efforts are embodied in the massive expansion projects of the Holy Sites, infrastructure development, the organization of awareness and health campaigns, and the encouragement of community and volunteer initiatives such as the Arab National Bank initiative.
The initiative is preparing for the 1447 AH Hajj season with the participation of over 1,000 qualified young Saudi volunteers who have undergone a series of specialized training workshops to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. The initiative aims to reach more than 650,000 pilgrims this year, reflecting the continuous expansion of its services and its positive impact. The initiative covers five integrated service tracks, including: medical and first aid services to provide immediate healthcare; guidance and counseling to assist pilgrims with their movements and the proper performance of their rituals; translation services to facilitate communication with pilgrims of different nationalities; and logistical services to ensure smooth movement and the provision of essential needs.
This initiative complements other national campaigns, such as the "Hajj in Good Health" , adopted by Health Holding Company in partnership with Arab National Bank. This campaign aims to raise health awareness and provide care for approximately 160,000 pilgrims from within the Kingdom, starting in the cities where pilgrims are staying before their departure to the holy sites. Arab National Bank actively contributes to supporting the campaign's efforts, ensuring comprehensive health and awareness coverage for pilgrims before and during the Hajj rituals.
As part of its commitment to providing the utmost comfort for pilgrims, a team of volunteers from Arab National Bank is distributing thousands of sun umbrellas and personal hygiene kits to Hajj pilgrims. This humanitarian gesture reflects the Kingdom's values of care, hospitality, and welcoming, and directly contributes to alleviating the effects of heat stress that pilgrims may experience during the Hajj rituals, especially in hot weather conditions. These simple yet effective logistical services make a significant difference to the pilgrims' daily experience.
Arab National Bank completed its technical and logistical preparations early for this year's launch, including training volunteer team leaders and supervisors to ensure the readiness of field teams. The initiative has achieved significant success in previous years, earning the trust and satisfaction of pilgrims. Its most recent edition culminated in the awarding of the Ghazi Al-Gosaibi for Volunteerism, recognizing its societal impact and contribution to promoting a culture of institutional volunteerism. This recognition underscores the initiative's position as a leading national model in volunteer and humanitarian work.
The "In the Service of the Guests of God" initiative continues to solidify its position as a model of community service and giving, maintaining its volunteer work and field services for pilgrims until the conclusion of the Hajj season of 1447 AH. This continuity reflects the integration of various national efforts to serve the guests of God and enhance their spiritual and humanitarian experience, ensuring them a smooth and blessed Hajj journey.
