Cybersecurity at the World Defence Exhibition 2026: Saudi Leadership

The National Cybersecurity Authority is preparing to actively participate in the third edition of the World Defense Show 2026 , organized by the General Authority for Military Industries in Riyadh from February 8 to 12. This participation, as the event's "Cybersecurity Partner," reflects the paramount importance that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia places on protecting its cyberspace as an integral part of its national security and comprehensive defense strategy.

Strengthening the national defense system in light of Vision 2030

The Authority's participation in this international forum is of paramount strategic importance, coinciding with the Kingdom's significant efforts to achieve the goals of Vision 2030, particularly regarding the localization of military and security industries to a rate exceeding 50%. In light of the evolution of modern warfare and its increasing reliance on technology, cybersecurity has become the first line of defense for protecting critical infrastructure and economic assets. Through this partnership, the Authority aims to highlight the globally leading Saudi model in cybersecurity governance, which has enabled the Kingdom to attain advanced rankings in the Global Cybersecurity Index issued by the International Telecommunication Union.

Strategic pillars: Defense, empowerment, and development

The authority explained that its pavilion at the exhibition will offer an integrated experience for visitors and specialists, based on three main pillars:

  • Defense axis: It reviews national capabilities in monitoring and responding to cyber incidents, and mechanisms for sharing proactive alerts, thus ensuring a secure cyber environment that supports business continuity in all vital sectors.
  • The empowerment axis: It focuses on the innovative technical solutions provided by the Authority, most notably the National Cybersecurity Services Portal “Haseen”, which represents a qualitative leap in raising the level of compliance with security controls among national entities.
  • The development focus: It highlights efforts to build human capital and develop specialized national capabilities, in addition to reviewing promising investment opportunities in the Saudi cybersecurity market, which is the largest in the region, while providing the necessary enablers for local and international entrepreneurs and investors.

A global platform for anticipating the future of defense

The World Defence Exhibition is a unique platform that brings together leaders in the global defense and security industry, covering the five domains of defense: land, sea, air, space, and security. The participation of the National Cybersecurity Authority complements this landscape, underscoring that digital security is the cornerstone of all modern defense operations. The exhibition is expected to witness the signing of strategic agreements and the exchange of expertise, further solidifying Riyadh's position as a global hub for decision-making in the defense and security sectors.
