Ministry of Hajj and Umrah: 51 million users of the Nusuk app and a 94% satisfaction rate
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, continues to make qualitative leaps and unprecedented achievements in the service of pilgrims, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to facilitate the hosting of 30 million Umrah pilgrims by 2030. In this context, the Ministry revealed record numbers that reflect the success of the digital transformation plans and the development of the infrastructure that serves Muslims from all parts of the world.
Nusuk App: A digital revolution in serving pilgrims
is The Nusuk app the unified national platform that has revolutionized the arrival procedures for Umrah pilgrims from around the world. During the opening of the third edition of the Umrah and Visit Forum, held under the theme "A History Told at Every Stop," His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, announced that the app has surpassed 51 million users globally. This impressive figure underscores the international significance of the app, which offers comprehensive services including visa issuance, permit booking, and complete trip planning with ease and convenience, thus eliminating the era of complex paperwork.
Record growth in the number of Umrah pilgrims and high satisfaction
Historically, Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages required significant time and effort to organize. However, thanks to modern facilities, the Minister explained that the number of Umrah pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom has exceeded 18 million. This figure represents a remarkable growth rate of 214% between 2022 and 2025. More important than the numbers, however, is the quality of services provided. Pilgrim satisfaction rates rose to 94% by 2025, confirming the success of the system in delivering a comprehensive spiritual experience, from planning the trip to returning home safely.
Enriching the cultural and religious experience
The Kingdom's focus extends beyond simply facilitating the performance of religious rites; it also encompasses enriching the cultural and religious experience of pilgrims, a key pillar of Vision 2030. In this regard, the capacity for visiting the Prophet's Mosque (Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah) has doubled, reaching over 15.6 million visitors last year. Furthermore, 87 historical and cultural sites in Makkah and Madinah have been developed and enhanced, providing pilgrims with the opportunity to explore the rich history of Islam and learn about the Prophet's life at the sites where it took place.
Global partnerships and high level of crisis preparedness
At the regional and international levels, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's efforts have resulted in the launch of a series of strategic partnerships with major global travel platforms. These partnerships have directly contributed to streamlining arrival procedures and expanding the options available to pilgrims, thus enhancing the Kingdom's competitiveness as a leading destination for religious tourism.
Regarding security and operational readiness, Dr. Al-Rabeeah affirmed that despite the challenges and events unfolding in the region, the Hajj service system has demonstrated its high level of preparedness to handle all unforeseen circumstances. The Ministry is working in continuous coordination with the General Authority of Civil Aviation and various relevant entities through joint operations rooms to ensure that any challenges are addressed and services are provided with utmost efficiency, guaranteeing the comfort and safety of pilgrims.
In conclusion, these successive achievements reflect the commitment of the wise leadership in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, and confirm that the development process is continuing to achieve the highest standards of quality and excellence in the Hajj and Umrah sector.
