Water projects completed in Al-Jawf at a cost of 55 million to serve 23,000 beneficiaries

The National Water Company announced the completion of two vital water network projects in the Al-Jawf region, at a total cost exceeding 55 million riyals, as part of its ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency of water services and expand coverage to serve more than 23,000 new beneficiaries in the region.

A developmental context that aligns with Vision 2030

This strategic step aligns with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which prioritizes the water sector to ensure resource sustainability and improve the quality of life for citizens and residents. The company is working according to well-defined plans to increase water service coverage across the Kingdom. This achievement reflects the company's commitment to developing water infrastructure to keep pace with the urban expansion and population growth witnessed in the Al-Jawf region, thus contributing to enhanced water security and the provision of reliable and sustainable services.

Project details and geographical scope

The company explained in its statement that the two projects included laying and implementing water networks with lengths exceeding 190 kilometers. These networks were designed to cover vital areas including the western Qara and southern Al-Laqait neighborhoods in Sakaka, as well as the Suwair Governorate, the Adhfa Center, and the Prince Abdul-Ilah neighborhood in Al-Qurayyat Governorate. This expansion represents a significant leap forward in providing water services to these areas, which are experiencing high population density and increasing urban development.

Advanced infrastructure to ensure sustainability

To ensure operational efficiency and a continuous water supply, the work was not limited to laying pipes. The structural components of the two projects included the construction of an elevated water tank with a capacity of 100 cubic meters, in addition to the establishment of a state-of-the-art pumping station with a daily operational capacity exceeding 19,000 cubic meters. These facilities aim to enhance the pumping system and guarantee that water reaches subscribers at appropriate pressures and in sufficient quantities to meet their daily needs, thus reducing reliance on traditional water supply methods.

Invitation to take advantage of digital services

In closing, the National Water Company urged all beneficiaries in the neighborhoods and governorates covered by these projects to promptly request service to connect their properties to the public network. The company emphasized the readiness of its digital channels to receive requests easily and conveniently, whether through its official smartphone application or its online branch (e.nwc.com.sa), to ensure service activation and the utilization of the new infrastructure as quickly as possible.
